After eight years away, Li Yiran returns to the small southwestern town of Lecang. Time and distance have created a deep rift between her and her mother, Wu Huilan, making their reunion anything but easy.

By an unexpected twist of fate, the mother and daughter find themselves working together, helping local residents through some of life's most important occasions.
