Liu Fufeng is a tree spirit who has lived for centuries without a heart. At the age of 300, she compassionately lends her heart to a pitiful creature without a soul. However, the creature steals her heart and disappears, never returning to the mysterious Yin-Yang Ferry.
Unable to leave and trapped in endless waiting, Liu Fufeng spends the next 500 years at the ferry. Over time, she unexpectedly rises to become the feared Demon Lord of the realm.
